Alan A. Davidson, Esq.

Alan A. Davidson is Of Counsel to the firm.  He was a founding member of the firm of Davidson, Sochor, Ragsdale & Cohen, LLC.  He has practiced in Bergen County for over 40 years.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 1971 from Rutgers University and received his law degree from Rutgers University in 1974.  He also was awarded a Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M.) from New York University in 1977.

Alan is a member of the Bergen County Estate Planning Council and is a member and past president of the Greater New Jersey Estate Planning Council.  He is a frequent lecturer on estate, business and tax matters to both professional and lay organizations.

He has authored several publications including “Using QTIP Trusts in Planning Elective Share Bequests,” which was published in the New Jersey Law Journal. He co-authored an ICLE publication entitled “Sophisticated Estate Planning: Using the Tax Laws to Your Client’s Advantage” as well as a 2017 four (4) part article (published by www.wealthmanagement.com) on the interplay and impact of changes to state laws with the current uncertainty in the Federal Estate and Gift Tax law.
